July 1st we are also hosting a parade at 10:30 am, Men's Hardball, a trade fair from 11:00 - 3:00, kids activities such as bounce houses and face painting, a beer gardens, concessions on sight, a roast beef supper at 5:00 pm, fireworks at 11:00 pm

In 2009 the Vauxhall Agricultural Society revived the Canada Day Demilition Derby. Every year on July 1st Vauxhall has a Demolition Derby that brings interest from across Alberta. This year marks the 10th annual and we are going strong.

Summer Sizzler Rodeo

Conrad Schinkinger Memorial Grounds Highway 831 & Township 552 (South of Lamont towards Elk Island Park on highway 831, at the corner of township road 552)
Lamont & District Agricutural Society
Straightline presents the Summer Sizzler Rodeo July 13-14. Find something for the entire family with an amateur rodeo paired with a marketplace for the shoppers and kids activities, including their own fun rodeo! The fan favourite Combine Crunch will be smashing entertainment! Beer gardens are open all weekend. Saturday finishes with a steak supper and an adult only dance in the dirt with Trevor Panczak. Free camping is available all weekend with a pancake breakfast and rodeo slack Sunday morning, followed by a rodeo performance and the finals of the Combine Crunch.

A special show to highlight the many forms of equipment and transportation used through the generations of farms in the West! Any displayer who wants to participate is welcome!
Demos can and will be given, with a parade of working equipment around 2pm.

This is the 23rd year of the Millarville Heritage Rodeo is a DUAL APPROVED event. This is just one of many ways the MHR involves the surrounding communities and contributes to events put on at the Millarville Racing and Agriculture Society.

The 2019 Boyle Rodeo will be here before we know it! The Boyle & District Agricultural Society’s Rodeo Committee is working hard to ensure we provide an entertaining, affordable and fun filled weekend for the community of Boyle and visitors from far and wide.

Rodeo action will kick off at 1pm both Saturday and Sunday!!! New to our rodeo this year is the addition of Breakaway Roping event. Local competitors will also be showcasing their rodeo spirit in the Mutton Bustin', Chicken Scramble, Wild Pony Race and Wild Cow Milking events.

Friday evening we will be hosting our 3rd annual Boyle Rodeo Horseshoe Tournament. This is an indoor horseshoe tournament so it will be a blast regardless of the weather conditions! The tournament is open to anyone 16 and older so enter your team and join in the fun. Early Bird Registration is $40/ team and is available until July 1. Late Registration is $50/team. Contact Bev to register. Don’t want to play horseshoes, just want to come and cheer on your favorite team? Come on down! There will be NO COVER CHARGE and all ages are welcome.

Make sure you are up bright and early Saturday morning to make it to Pancake Breakfast from 8am to 10am at the Boyle Community Center. Our Community Betterment Committee members always put on an impressive breakfast.

After you get your fill of pancakes, head out to main street for the Boyle Rodeo Parade. We have a new parade route this year! If you would like to participate in the parade – its free and no registration is required – meet us just south of the old Wildrose Villa at 9am on Saturday morning to line up. Bev will be our parade marshal this year and would love to help you find your place.

While you are at the rodeo on Saturday and Sunday, be sure to check out the special Boyle Rodeo Farmers’ Market from 1pm to 4pm in the hall at the ag grounds. There are always lots of great vendors there selling a variety of goodies. For more information about how you could become a vendor, call Pat Scully, Market Manager, at 780-915-5634.

Our Kids’ Corral will be open from 1pm to 4pm both Saturday and Sunday. You can purchase your kids day pass at the Boyle Rodeo Office for $10. Each day pass will get you unlimited access to the bouncy castles, petting zoo, and other fun kids’ games. For more information about the mutton bustin’, chicken scramble, or wild pony racing events, please visit the Boyle Rodeo Office during the event.

Need a break during the day? Stop in at the beer gardens for an ice cold refreshment. Beer gardens will be open starting at 5pm on Friday and at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Each evening at 7pm the beer gardens will move into the indoor arena to keep the festivities going.

The Boyle Fire Department will be serving steak supper on Saturday evening at 6pm. They always serve a delicious meal!! This year they are raising funds to purchase a new fire truck. Show your support and get your tickets from their tent at the ag grounds during the day. Tickets are limited so get yours early!

Our Saturday evening cabaret is open to all ages. A $10 cover charge will get you in to enjoy the party. Our DJ will keep the party hopping while you visit with friends, dance, test your skills on the mechanical bull and challenge your friends to a game of horseshoes.

For 20 years the Elnora Brahma Rama has provided an action packed weekend for all ages. Every year the crowds get larger, the bulls ranker and the fun only increases. Friday night kicks off with a bucking bull futurity, wild pony races, beer gardens and an all weekend slo-pitch tournament. Saturday night is filled with mutton bustin', wild pony races, mini bronc riding, wild cow milking, PBR Bullriding followed by a family dance a fireworks.

Come out and experience the fun of a country fair. Waskatenau Fair Days has something to interest everyone in the family. Watch exciting slop pitch games in the sun ( Fri-Sun) or move into the arena to see the horse shows ( Sat & Sun.). Enjoy the great food served at morning breakfasts ( Sat & Sun.), noon luncheon ( Sun.) & an evening BBQ ( Sat.) as well at concessions run all weekend. Sit along the Sunday parade route which is sure to delight young and old with not only the entries but the heaps of candy given out along the route. The sure to take the kids to the Kids' Zone on Sunday which features treasure hidden in the sand of the playground, 2 giant bouncy castles, fairy tattoos, and the excitement for all ages who can participate in on site Circus Acts. Treat yourself to a fun weekend in the country.
There is no admission cost to any of the events but there is a charge for meals and the beer gardens.

The 3 day event is kicked off on Friday evening with the start of the Slo-Pitch Tournament which runs through Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the great food served at morning breakfasts ( Sat & Sun.), noon luncheon ( Sun.) & an evening BBQ ( Sat.) as well at concessions run all weekend. Sit along the Sunday parade route which is sure to delight young and old with not only the entries but the heaps of candy given out along the route. The sure to take the kids to the Kids' Zone on Sunday which features treasure hidden in the sand of the playground, 2 giant bouncy castles, fairy tattoos, and the excitement for all ages who can participate in on site Circus Acts. Treat yourself to a fun weekend in the country.
There is no admission cost to any of the events but there is a charge for meals and the beer gardens.

The 3 day event is kicked off on Friday evening with the start of the Slo-Pitch Tournament which runs through Saturday and Sunday. Metiskow and District - 6th annual Trail Ride

This is our 6th annual trail ride. We cover approx. 20 km of trails all on pasture land in the Metiskow area. Lunch and bathroom break at half way point


riders bring a bag lunch, ride ends back at the hall with a steak supper with all the fixings. Ride is open to horseback riders as well as


horse drawn wagons and carriages.

Entry fee is $30.00 for each person on the trail ride, or if you are just coming for supper it is $20/person.

AIRDRIE - ART OF THE HARVEST

Airdrie and District Agricultural Society is proud to host this annual event showcasing teams of horses and vintage farm equipment demonstrating how harvesting grain was done in the “old days”. We also harvest the vegetables planted in the spring. This informational demo and event offers something for the very small to the very tall, from the city dweller to those with rural roots. Come join us for a Blast to the Past! This is a FREE event for everyone; FREE parking; FREE beef on a bun or hot dog for the first 300 people; FREE music. Molly the Mule may again walk the treadmill to make fresh ice cream for all to taste. Blacksmithing demos. For $10 you can fill a grocery bag with fresh-from-the earth-veggies and all proceeds from the Fill-A-Bag are donated to the Airdrie Food Bank. Any veggies not sold will be donated to the Airdrie Food Bank. A Farm Safety Event will also be held in conjunction with Art of the Harvest at the same time &; location. This event consists of interactive farm safety displays manned by Ag Society volunteers, most of whom are members from our local 4-H clubs. These displays are used as teaching tools to educate our guests on farm safety messages relating to: hearing, helmets, grain safety, injury and disability awareness and livestock safety. The Agriculture for Life Rural Safety Unit, sponsored by our partner Trans Canada Turbines, will also be on site, sharing farm safety tips and strategies. And for the kids,an opportunity to win a prize! This is a FREE event for everyone. Our Farm Safety Event is held in conjunction vwith our Art of the Harvest - same time &; location. FREE parking.
