112th Priddis & Millarville Fair

Millarville Racing & Agricultural Society
The Priddis & Millarville Fair is one of Southern Alberta’s oldest and largest country fairs. Located at the Millarville Racetrack and co-hosted with the Millarville Farmers’ Market, the Fair is the place to come to learn about Alberta’s agricultural history, touch the animals, view the creations of local artisans, gardeners, photographers and wood workers. We have antique tractors, cars, and trucks that span generations, horse riding events of all types, and contests – pie eating, rooster crowing, watermelon eating, youth talent. There is so much to see and do it might take you 2 days to take it all in.

Admission: $5 per person per day, children 8 and under free
 

Lac La Biche AG Society - Open Farm Days Tour

August 18, 2019 from 12pm to 6pm
will showcase and introduce our local farms to our urban neighbours in one area: Our Agricom pavilion! We will have farm animals, vegetable tables, small workshops that farmers can showcase and teach skills and a BBQ sourced from those local providers.

As part of our ongoing efforts to host more events for our community we have decided to host a gymkhana this year, sanctioned with the Lakeland Gymkhana Association. The LGA is a family oriented club that promotes sportsmanship and fun among its members.
ENTRY:
Entry fee is $10 for the weekend per participant.
Entries open at 10am on Saturday. Events starts at 11am both days.

Peace Regional RCMP, is proud to present the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride . A Canadian tradition since 1876, a troop of 32 scarlet coated "Mounties" on majestic black horses present a 30 minute show of intricate figures and Calvary drills choreographed to music.

Metiskow and District - 6th annual Trail Ride

This is our 6th annual trail ride. We cover approx. 20 km of trails all on pasture land in the Metiskow area. Lunch and bathroom break at half way point


riders bring a bag lunch, ride ends back at the hall with a steak supper with all the fixings. Ride is open to horseback riders as well as


horse drawn wagons and carriages.

Entry fee is $30.00 for each person on the trail ride, or if you are just coming for supper it is $20/person.

Airdrie - FARM SAFETY EVENT 2019

Airdrie and District Agricultural Society is proud to host this important event to profile the significance of Safety on the Farm. This event consists of interactive farm safety displays manned by Ag Society volunteers, most of whom are members from our local 4-H clubs. These displays are used as teaching tools to educate our guests on farm safety messages relating to: hearing, helmets, grain safety, injury and disability awareness and livestock safety. The Agriculture for Life Rural Safety Unit, sponsored by our partner Trans Canada Turbines, will also be on site, sharing farm safety tips and strategies. And for the kids,an opportunity to win a prize! This is a FREE event for everyone. Our Farm Safety Event is held in conjunction vwith our Art of the Harvest - same time &; location. FREE parking. Airdrie and District Agricultural Society is proud to host this annual event showcasing teams of horses and vintage farm equipment demonstrating how harvesting grain was done in the “old days”. We also harvest the vegetables planted in the spring. This informational demo and event offers something for the very small to the very tall, from the city dweller to those with rural roots. Come join us for a Blast to the Past! This is a FREE event for everyone; FREE parking; FREE beef on a bun or hot dog for the first 300 people; FREE music. Molly the Mule may again walk the treadmill to make fresh ice cream for all to taste. Blacksmithing demos. For $10 you can fill a grocery bag with fresh-from-the earth-veggies and all proceeds from the Fill-A-Bag are donated to the Airdrie Food Bank. Any veggies not sold will be donated to the Airdrie Food Bank. A Farm Safety Event will also be held in conjunction with Art of the Harvest at the same time &; location. The 46th Canadian Finals Rodeo returns to Red Deer, where the very best rodeo athletes and fans from around the world will come together to witness champions competing for the top prize! CFR 46 is from October 29 to November 3 2019, with seven performances taking place inside the Centrium at Westerner Park.

Dueling Pianos

Join us for a high energy, comedy piano show where the audience is just as much a part of the show as the entertainers. The Dueling Pianos features Tony T. (Anthony Decarolis), Wildman Joe (Joe Marchetti), performing energetic sing along classics for all ages. Their entertaining style of inter-acting with the audience has everyone singing, clapping and partying along. Come out and join the fun, a good time will be had by all.
The event will be held on November 9th 2019 at Bonanza Hall. Doors open at 7:30pm and the pianos start at 8pm. Tickets cost $30, minors allowed and snacks are provided.
