Dan the One Man Band

In the summer of 1990, Dan Duguay decided to strap a drum to his back and become a one-man band. Since that time, he’s never looked back and never had another job (besides during the pandemic). For more than 30 years, he has been earning his living by entertaining people. Performing at countless events, Dan has brought smiles and joy to every walk of life and to people of all ages with his guitar, drum, tambourines, cymbals, harmonica, kazoo and powerful singing voice.

In 2019, Dan released his first “children’s record” called Foods ‘N Tudes. It covered a wide range of topics including healthy eating, bullying, design thinking and the benefits of healthy lifestyle. It was nominated for “Best Children’s Recording” at the 2020 YYC Music Awards.

Fairs have been a staple in Dan’s summer touring schedule for over 20 years. Dan has entertained at a plethora of fairs & exhibitions around Canada such as K-Days in Edmonton, Westerner Days in Red Deer, the PNE in Vancouver, Lakehead Exhibition in Thunder Bay, The SuperEx in Ottawa, The Medicine Hat Stampede, the Calgary Stampede, Moose Jaw Exhibition, Saskatoon Ex, Prince George Ex, Prince Albert Ex, The Interior Provincial Exhibition in Armstrong BC and the Royal WInter Fair in Brandon, as well as many others.

Dan’s ability to engage with fair goers is second to none. He is an excellent addition to any entertainment roster because of his flexibility, his versatility and his ability to work with pretty well anyone. People love to see Dan the One Man Band upon entering the gates. They also love to see Dan when they are waiting in a lineup. He takes the stress out of a lot of moments. Children are enthralled by his music and parents will often get some peace while their kids are dancing and enjoying Dan’s performance.

Dan Comes fully self contained with all the instruments, and a fully charged high powered battery operated sound system. Dan’s rates are competitive and his ability to entertain is world class!
