Program Coordinator – Contract

Fixed term contract (12 months)

Olds Regional Exhibition (ORE) seeks a Program Coordinator to lead signature events like Summer Synergy, Olds Fall Classic, and Spring Classic. This role combines traditional and innovative programming to promote agriculture, foster youth development, and enhance the rural lifestyle. Key responsibilities include coordinating events, managing budgets and sponsorships, collaborating with stakeholders, and leading marketing initiatives. Ideal candidates have experience in event management or agricultural programming, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in social media and event tools.

Program Coordinator

  • Coordinate and deliver signature events, including Summer Synergy, Olds Fall Classic, and Spring Classic, ensuring seamless execution, budget adherence, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Lead marketing efforts, manage sponsorships, and oversee logistics while fostering youth development and promoting agriculture.

Location: Hybrid remote in Olds, AB (onsite during events)

Digital Screen Technician / Video Wall Operator

$100–$250 a day

We are looking to fill two roles – Our safety education series, “I’m Ok, the cost of injuries” is a unique and innovative approach to promoting farm safety which targets a 13 – 30-year-old audience. Our shows are a blend of technology and performing arts that tell a compelling story in an unconventional way. There are 3 unique, 30-minute shows. The program will be brought to life by a pair of individuals. This team will travel across Alberta to fairs, festivals, rodeos, schools, and other events where bookings occur, to deliver live farm safety shows using cutting-edge digital technology.

Digital Screen Tech

    • Operate digital and audio equipment.
    • Utilize live polling tools.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as needed.

Location: Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Travel Required)- vehicle supplied.

Performing Artist (Male-presenting)

$100–$250 a day

Fixed term contract

  • Perform various roles in the farm safety show against a digital background. All roles are currently portraying a 22 – 40-year-old male.
  • Memorize specific actions and movements to coincide with the video.
  • Lip sync to the prerecorded dialog.

Executive Director – Bezanson Agricultural Society

Responsibilities:

The Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring the success of the strategic direction, management expertise and financial oversight that is vital to the sustainability of the Bezanson Agricultural Society and its operations.  There will be a strategic and strong focus on securing funds for the sustainability of the facilities. The Executive Director will work closely with and answer to the Board of Directors, ensuring Vision and Business Plan is enacted and supporting the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. The Executive Director will be a team player working with a strong and successful team.

Salary range:  $55,000 – $70,000 depending on experience and qualifications.  This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week with some evening/weekend requirements for meetings and events. 

This position will start June 3.  There will be a probationary period of 3-6 months with the intent of this becoming a permanent full-time position.
