Dr. Camille Ryan is a recognized leader in agricultural sustainability and policy, with expertise in social sciences and economics. As a Bayer Science Fellow and professional affiliate at the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Agriculture, she champions science-driven policies and researches the impact of social media on public perception and regulatory decisions.

Her presentation will explore critical risks impacting Canadian agriculture, including:
•    Global trade challenges (U.S. tariffs, China antidumping investigations)
•    Regulatory shifts (PMRA transformation, cost recovery)
•    Sustainability strategies (AAFC Sustainable Agriculture Strategy developments)
•    Greenwashing policies and evolving consumer perceptions

Daniel Graham, Manager, AgriStability and Pricing, AFSC

Daniel Graham is a chartered professional accountant (CPA) with more than 20 years at AFSC, specializing in business risk management (BRM) products and pricing strategies. His extensive experience provides a deep understanding of financial challenges and risk mitigation for Alberta producers.

Daniel will break down practical risk management approaches, connecting Camille’s insights to real-world solutions. He will also provide an overview of AFSC’s BRM programs and how they help Alberta producers manage risk.
