Alberta Horticultural Association

Formed in 1951, the AHA is an organization of horticultural societies and individuals in Alberta who are involved with horticulture on a professional or amateur basis. The AHA’s mission is the advancement and promotion of horticulture in Alberta and the primary way we do this is by providing services to more than 30 affiliate agriculture and horticulture societies and clubs across the province. The AHA membership is divided into 6 Districts that correspond to the Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies regions. Each elected District Representative is a helpful resource for their affiliate societies .

AHA initiatives include an education program sponsoring some costs of hiring guest speakers, the quarterly newsletter, an annual conference, accreditation workshops for training horticultural judges, funding for hiring AHA judges, for bench shows- providing show tags and special award ribbons, as well as promoting affiliates’ events.
