SilvaChar Environmental Inc. is a division of Silvatech Consulting Ltd, a forestry consulting firm in BC, that focuses on the utilization of residual biomass from forestry operations via the production of biochar.

We process the residual biomass into suitable feed-stock and pyrolyze the feedstock into high-quality certified biochar. We certify the associated carbon credits for market trading, and make available the biochar to agricultural and industrial enterprises for CO2 sequestration/climate change mitigation. Our key objectives are to use wasted residual biomass and turn it into a valuable product with multiple environmental, social and economic benefits including: reduced GHG emissions; carbon sequestration; improved agricultural soils; reduced irrigation and fertilization costs; boost cop yields; filtration of soil water from agricultural fields thus reducing contamination of streams and lakes; and reductions in the over-all costs of food production.
